Pecan Pie

Three small words can describe a slice of homemade Pecan Pie "To Die For"! This is my all time favorite pie. It's about the easiest pie a person can make but it's absolutely decadent. I get requests for this pie all of the time for Community Fund Raising Dessert Auctions. It always gets the highest bid.

Pecan Pie
Yield: 6 - 8 servings
1 Eight inch Prepared Pie Shell
1/4 Cup of Margarine or Butter, melted
1/2 Cup of Sugar
1 Cup of Dark Corn Syrup
3 Large Eggs
1 Tablespoon of Vanilla
a pinch of Salt
1 - 1 1/2 Cups of Pecan Halves

Cover bottom of prepared pie crust with pecans. Mix remaining ingredients together. Pour over pecans. Bake in preheated 350F oven for approx. 1 hour or until filling is completely gelled and moves as a solid unit, being careful not to over bake.

Cool on a wire rack. Serve plain or top with ice-cream or freshly whipped cream. Enjoy!
